Prenatal Massage in Charlotte, NC

Your body is doing quiet, enormous work. You are welcome exactly as you are, whether this is your first trimester or your last week.

Gentle prenatal massage support during pregnancy

Bodywork made for pregnancy

Pregnancy changes how a body carries itself, week by week. Hips and low back take on new load, sleep gets complicated, and the nervous system is asked to hold a great deal. Prenatal massage meets all of that gently, easing the places that ache and giving the whole system a chance to settle.

You rest on your side, supported by cushions, adjusted until you are truly comfortable, and the session moves from there. Nothing about this work is rushed. The pace itself is part of the care.

After the baby comes

Postpartum bodies deserve the same care. You are welcome back whenever you are ready, six weeks out or six months, and if feeding questions are part of your season, Ariana is training as a board certified lactation consultant, so those questions are welcome in the room too.

Common questions

Is prenatal massage safe?

For most pregnancies, yes. Prenatal massage from a trained practitioner is widely considered safe, and our sessions use side-lying positioning and gentle pressure suited to pregnancy. If your pregnancy is high-risk or anything feels uncertain, we ask that you check with your midwife or doctor first, and we are glad to work alongside whatever they advise.

Can I get a massage in the first trimester?

There is no evidence that massage causes harm at any stage of pregnancy, and the American Pregnancy Association considers massage from a trained practitioner safe in any trimester. Some providers still suggest waiting until the second trimester, so if you are early and unsure, a short conversation with your midwife or doctor settles it.

How will I lie on the table while pregnant?

Mostly on your side, held up by a full set of cushions, with everything adjusted until you are genuinely comfortable. You will not lie face down on your belly, and your comfort leads at every step.

Can massage cause miscarriage or early labor?

There is no research linking massage, foot massage, or any pressure point to miscarriage or early labor. Even so, we keep away from deep, sustained pressure on the few points tradition treats with caution, and gentle work on tired feet and legs remains a welcome part of the session.

What if my pregnancy is high-risk?

Tell us when you book, and talk with your midwife or doctor first. We are careful with this work, and we would rather go slowly and rightly than quickly.

Do you offer postpartum massage?

Yes. Postpartum bodywork is part of the same care, whenever you are ready to come in, and Ariana’s training in traditional postpartum work and lactation support means you can bring the whole season with you.
